The Summit Grove Cemetery is 1/2 mile east of Highway 79, roughly halfway between Snyder & North Bend, in Dodge County. This is one of those cemeteries where no one can agree as to it's name. One person is positive it is the Cruickshank Family Cemetery and another is adament that it is Summit Grove. It is also sometimes referred to as Honest John's Cemetery. It is one of the saddest cemeteries I have ever seen, completely grown over and unattended except for a couple family plots that have the brush cleared around them. One of the photos even shows where someone built a campfire in the shelter of a large stone. There may have once been a church here, another photo shows the open entrance to a crypt, with pieces of gravestones piled around it.
