Whitney Cemetery
Dawes County,
Nebraska

The Whitney Cemetery was established in 1905 on land donated to the Whitney United Methodist Chruch [current name] by the McCafferty family

Elizabeth McCafferty was the first person burried in the Whitney Cemetery.

In the 1920s, a number of graves were moved to the Whitney Cemetery from an original cemetery a short distance (less than a mile) west of Whitney, Nebraska.
