Centurion, Pearl Mae (Schrunk) Moore, 100 of Neligh, NE passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Neligh, NE. Pearl, daughter of John and Mabel (Gull) Schrunk, was born May 14, 1911 at Atkinson, NE.

Pearl attended school in the Atkinson area and graduated from Atkinson High School. Pearl was baptized and confirmed into the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1931. On March 28, 1932, Pearl was united in marriage to Orlen "Dukes" Moore. The couple worked for Ed Kennedy for three years, after which they went to work for Wolf Bros. Ranch in Wheeler County for 13 years, where Pearl cooked meals for all the ranch hands. They moved to Clearwater for two years while Dukes was in the trucking business, before moving to the Wolf Farm at Albion for three years. They then bought a ranch west of Petersburg where they lived for 18 years before retiring to their home in Elgin in 1972. After the death of her husband, Pearl later moved to Neligh.

Pearl is survived by: son: Bill Moore and wife Kathy of Sidney, NE; grandchildren: Jonathan Moore of Vail, CO; William Benda and wife Sabina of Omaha, NE; Kelley Redding and husband Terry of Omaha, NE; Daniel Benda and special friend Courtney of Dallas, TX; great-grandchildren: Michelle and Patrick Benda of Omaha; sister Lois Reis of Carthage MO; along with a host of relatives and friends.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husband Orlen "Dukes" Moore in 1986; daughter Linda Morton in 2008; son-in-law Merrill Morton; brothers: Francis, Earl, John, and Ralph Schrunk; sisters: Ina Roth, Ida Boles, Ethel Rzeszotarski, Mabel Banks, Ruth Andrus and Lusetta Alton.

Interment was in the All Saints Cemetery near Clearwater, NE.
