This is the unmarked entrance (no sign) to the Highland Cemetery.
The cemetery is located three miles east of Chadron, Nebraska (U.S. Highway 20, and a half mile south on a gravel road.
Legal description: Part of the S.E. 1/4 of S.E. 1/4 of Section 23, Township 33 north, Range 48 west of the 6th principal meridian.
In 1911 Charles and Iona Naylor sold the Highland Cemetery Association the land for the cemetery, an area 13 rods by 19 rods, for one dollar. (214.5 feet by 313.5 feet)
