Solar-powered WELL

Hayward Cemetery
Dundy County,
Nebraska

One of the wells with submersible pump on the Hayward ranch which is powered by solar energy because electricity is not available at these remote locations. Kelly drove us to several sites where wells had been dug, then the pumps, powered by solar energy, pumped the water to remote water tanks at higher altitudes.
One location had an overflow pipe which drained into a dammed-up pool to hold the water. (Is he going to drive this jeep down THERE?) He did.
