Lucretia Irelan was born October 23, 1853 to Nathan and Phidelia Irelan at Zanesville, Ohio. She lived in Kansas with her husband, James McDermott, who she had married in 1881 at Clarinda, Iowa. In 1890, they moved to the Farnam, Nebraska area and remained there until 1920 when they moved to California. Her husband was killed in a traffic accident in 1921. In 1928, she married Thomas Cline. Her complete obituary can be found at www.historicfarnam.us. Her unmarked grave is now marked with this flat grave marker placed by the Farnam Cemetery with memorial money from the Farnam Centennial Committee.
